Gamarra is a massive textile market in Lima, quite magical in its own way. Though it’s true that some galleries sell counterfeit products, there are galleries and Peruvian brands that sell original garments and benefit from the bustling flow of people. It’s a place where you can find absolutely anything, from wedding and quinceañera dresses to lingerie and flip-flops. If something costs 80 soles at the mall, you can find it for 12 soles in Gamarra. I’d call it a Peruvian gem.
